About
Veridiana Montas
Veridiana attended five different high schools in New York City and in the Dominican Republic before she graduated. She had heard about EVC and wanted to join the Doc Workshop so badly that she deferred graduation a semester in order to still be eligible. During her time in the Workshop, she produced two documentaries--- one on street violence and the other on relationship violence. In 2007, she joined YO-TV and produced a documentary about homeless families in New York City. She represented EVC at the Sundance Film Festival, where she took part in a daily blog about the festival and was featured in a local newspaper. She also participated in Adobe’s Reel Studio, where she was on assignment as a digital photographer, and served as emcee at the Urban Visionaries Youth Film Festival at the Museum of Television and Radio. She’s currently on staff at EVC as Community Engagement Coordinator.
