Documentary Workshop Manager
Christine was born and raised in Brooklyn. She is an alumnus of the EVC’s youth programs and is currently the Doc Workshop Manager, the same program she started in 8 years ago. Christine taught video production classes to youth around NYC for over six years at the MoMA, The Jewish Museum, Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s Youth Channel and at various schools and institutions. She also facilitated workshops abroad at an international youth camp in Tampere, Finland, to Protestant and Catholic youth in Belfast and most recently in Johannesburg. A former high school dropout, Christine was part of Listen Up’s Youth Advisory Committee on Education commissioned by PBS and one of six youth from around the U.S. to be selected as a Time Warner Youth Advisory Board Member. Christine has interned at ABC News and BBC Northern Ireland. She holds a BA in Media Studies from Hunter College and recently completed her Masters thesis in Ethnic Conflict at Queens University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her personal interests are in learning about different cultures, immigrant education, salsa dancing, and long distance running.
