Jeremy Engle

Manager of Curriculum and Instruction, Youth Media Learning Network (YMLN)

Jeremy Engle has been working with NYC public schools for nearly 20 years. He was a public school classroom teacher for over 10 years and has worked with many schools and teachers to develop inquiry-based and student-centered curricula. At EVC, Jeremy has taught Documentary Workshop, led Summer Documentary Making Institutes for Teachers, and—as part of the External Education Program—worked with schools to integrate media-making into their classrooms. Presently, Jeremy helps to create and facilitate Fellowships for YMLN youth media educators around the country. As a student in NYC public schools, Jeremy was generally bored and unhappy, and he hopes his work with schools and teachers and educators will help today's youth avoid a similar fate.
