Kim Hall is a film and video artist living in New York City. She began to discover the power of media over 12 years ago. Her latest completed film, UPRUSH, a short story about a 13-year old girl facing the sexually ambiguous border of adolescence and adulthood, premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival and played at CineVegas, Sausalito in addition to touring as part of the Texas Film Commission short film festival. Kim recently received her M.F.A from the University of Texas at Austin where she received an Eastman Kodak Scholarship, Texas Filmmakers Grant and the Pic Wagner Fellowship. Upon arriving in New York she began teaching media literacy and video production at various youth programs. She continues to produce her own work, and most recently shot a short fiction film starring Heather Kafka (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, A SCANNER DARKLY, LOVER'S OF HATE) based on reclusive musician Bill Fox, which she plans to develop into a feature.
