Lindsay Fauntleroy
Director of External Education Programs
Lindsay began her work in video while completing her Master's degree in Media Sociology at New York University. Her first documentary short, The Urban Lyricists, brought viewers into the lives of the NYC independent poetry and hip hop artists' collective she helped to found. As a videographer and former dancer, spoken word artist, and designer, Lindsay is passionate about the intersection between culture, art, & social justice across visual mediums. As a past program director of EVC’s YO-TV, her projects include Alienated: Undocumented Immigrant Youth and Still Standing. Currently, as Director of External Education Programs, she works extensively with teaching artists and educators to integrate educational theory into practical application. Lindsay does freelance video work to bring the power of visual storytelling to artists and organizations that use their craft to bring about social justice. At the age of nine, Lindsay was the only girl playing in an all-male street hockey league.
