EVC students presented their interactive community website, providing original interviews, historical footage from EVC archives, and research about police-community relations at Teachers College, Columbia University on June 10th. Following this launch, these students will be placed in summer camp counselor jobs teaching digital media to middle school students.
EVC New Media Arts Youth Producers walked the audience through the contents of their transmedia site, including video interviews on problems and solutions, an interactive community map, a digital comic strip, EVC archival footage, and “know your rights” information.
Members of the students’ communities, including teachers and families, attended the launch and participated in a Q&A.
