  • Human Rights Watch Takes “Journeys” on NYC High School Tour

    Journeys Through the Red, White & Blue screens at several high schools throughout New York City thanks to the help of outreach efforts from the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival. High schools include the Bushwick School for Social Justice on October 8th, Bayard Rustin Educational Complex (IMW) on the 10th, Repertory High School on the 14th, and Urban Assembly Media High School on the 15th.

    North Lawndale College Prep High School in Chicago screens Journeys Through the Red, White & Blue on October 2nd. The screening is part of a student-led effort to encourage students and faculty to promote voter registration and other political activism within the school community and surrounding neighborhood.

The 2008 Youth Action Fair is an interactive volunteer event full of opportunities for teens to get involved with their cause in their community. Take action on the spot: register to vote, reduce your carbon footprint, or join the bone marrow donor registry. Sign up for one time or long term volunteer opportunities.
