Join us for a critical screening of a youth-produced documentary examining the homelessness crisis facing New York families.
For the third screening in this series we will be watching the 2008 documentary Losing Ground: The New Face of Homelessness with the Youth Producers who made it. This film and topic was selected by the audience at our last Docs & Dialogues screening! This film explores the experiences of youth and families made homeless for a variety of reasons including rising poverty and lack of affordable housing to youth kicked onto the streets for their sexuality. Made in 2008, this film is unfortunately still relevant as thousands of people sleep out on the streets every single night in the richest city in the world.
