“Losing Ground” Screened at Tribeca Film Festival, May 1 & 2, 2008

The short version of Losing Ground follows the story of Jenny and Raquel, a young lesbian couple who face the crisis of

Every night thousands of young people under the age of 18 are forced to sleep in shelters, at the homes of friends and relatives, or on the street. Many are young people from families affected by rising poverty rates and the declining supply of affordable housing; many are youth that have been kicked out of their homes because they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered.


The Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) hosted two separate screenings:


1) May 1, at 12:30pm, at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, as part of the Tribeca Youth Screening Series


2) May 2, at 6:00pm, at the Village East Cinemas, as part of TFI’s Annual Gala Screening
