Thank you for making our benefit screening at the Film Society of Lincoln Center last Wednesday such an overwhelming success! We are extremely proud of our students for producing two extraordinary, thought-provoking films that explore teens’ mental health needs in schools and the separation of families due to incarceration, substance abuse, and deportation.
Congratulations again to this year’s honorees, Ray Suarez , Farai Chideya ,Torrance York , and Alex Soto for their outstanding work in journalism, their dedication to EVC, and for mentoring and inspiring the next generation of creative media artists and journalists. We would also like to thank U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Honorary Chair of our event, for her warm welcome remark.
Big thanks to the 2015 Benefit Committee, EVC alumni, and staff members for their months of planning and hard work. This night was also made possible with support from our friends at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
A round of applause for our incredible food and beverages donors, including: Bottlerocket Wine & Spirit, Cha Pa’s Noodles and Grill, COSTCO, Getting Hungry, Mustang Thakali Kitchen, Potjanee, Q Drinks, and Sweet Revenge.
