Urban Visionaries Media Expo

The Urban Visionaries Youth Festival (UVYFF) is proud to sponsor the 2008 Media Expo!

10AM-5PM Saturday April 5th, 2008 Manhattan Neighborhood Network 537 West 59th Street in Manhattan. A, B, C, D or #1 train to 59th St & Columbus Circle

The Expo is an opportunity for teens to gather and participate in a wide range of media workshops – at both the beginner and intermediate levels. These workshops can serve to deepen students’ skills and expose them to the wonderful world of youth media production in New York City.


The Expo will feature workshops run by Downtown Community Television (DCTV), Educational Video Center (EVC), Global Action Project (GAP), the Ghetto Film School, MNN, The Paley Center (formerly The Museum of Television & Radio), Reel Works and T.R.U.C.E. The workshops will range from Media Literacy to Production. There will also be live performances and college information.


The Expo is free and open to all high school students in New York City and beyond.
