Cigarette smoking causes an estimated 443,000 deaths per year. Yet tobacco companies are targeting black and Hispanic communities with intensive marketing to get people to start smoking. Nearly 20 percent of high school students are now smokers. EVC youth producers investigate why, every day, thousands of teenagers pick up their first cigarette, what the addiction means for them and their families, and how they can kick this habit.
