Colors of Health: Understanding Unequal Care in New York City

Description

Minority communities are disproportionately sicker. Studies show that the health outcomes for black and Hispanic patients are often worse than the health outcomes for white patients. Poorly rated public hospitals serving communities of color are critically underfunded compared to private hospitals frequented by white patients. In response to this unequal care, EVC Youth Producers investigated the structural conditions and racial biases that lead to inferior medical care for people of color.
