Black children are twice as likely to spend time in foster care as white children, and approximately 1/4 of foster care alumni will become involved with the criminal justice system within two years of leaving care. There is a direct pipeline from the foster care system to the prison system. This film explores the problems with the foster care system that molds and pushes kids into the prison system. How can we dismantle the foster care to prison pipeline?
